About Us
We have been in your shoes
Recovery United was created by individuals in long-term recovery. We have experienced the harrowing ups and downs associated on this journey, and we know that we would not have made it to where we are without the love and support of our families, our communities and the support systems we found and built along the way. It was these experiences that lead to creating Recovery United.
Recovery United is a non-profit dedicated to supporting individuals with substance use disorder (SUD) and vulnerable populations like the homeless, single parents, and children. Our outreach builds trust and connects those in need with essential resources. We aim to address local challenges, raise awareness, and drive positive change, particularly for those battling addiction or navigating recovery.
Through community events like AA/NA meetings, speaker sessions, food drives, educational workshops, health fairs, and career training; we provide support and share resources. Partnerships with local businesses, corporations, and government agencies fund initiatives such as event costs, scholarships, sober living homes, treatment services, youth mentoring, and family support programs. We distribute food, clothing, and necessities through collaborations with shelters, schools, churches, and clinics.
Recovery United raises awareness about addiction, homelessness, mental health, and youth advocacy, working with local governments and advocacy groups to influence policy and secure resources. We encourage community involvement through volunteering and collaborations, strengthening bonds and expanding program reach to transform lives.
